I'd been trading this so well until today. I originally didn't want to be in when US Q1 earnings were being released but my LRS shareholders PLS shares sale fears were allayed and US Futures were looking good. Still are, I think the May FOMC meeting will be promising.
I can't believe ALP want to introduce a tax on unrealised capital gains. Comrade KRudd's MRRT was embarrassingly stupid. Why do people keep voting in these Politards? A quick look at Oz MSM and idiot box reveals the same Globalist demons that control and destroy the EU, have their tentacles wrapped around Oz and NZ. Thankfully, Oz didn't fall for the Globalist Voice in 23. That was never about the Indigenous.
How many LTHers will realise gains before then?
The US Q1 GDP came in at -0.3% which seemed like a good result. Imports (relocation) of Gold by Blackrock and Bank of America made up for a lot of the fall. Expectations were for much worse.
Certainly there were retailer imports advanced into Q2 to avoid tariffs but Gold was always the dominant stat here. I'd expect Q2 to be positive despite the current business inactivity as tariffs get negotiated. China will (have to) come to the table eventually.
Strong investment will yield fruit down the line. DOGE Government knife hasn't been unkind but prudent. Under the previous Marxist aligned Government, Government Spending drove GDP. Maybe people in the West are waking up?
