I've discussed plenty of their policies. A bit hard with Labor, as they keep on changing them every five minutes, accoding to which Julia is on that day.
As for slagging political figures, perhaps you should take a look at the leftists on here - with their perpatual personal put-downs of "Little Johnny Howards", "The Mad Monk", the "Head Wobble Dance", the ummmmmmm, errrrrrs, uuuuuuums about Abbott, (he must be an idiot - can't possibly be a Rhodes Scholar!) etc. etc.
I don't go in for personal attack Goldie. I don't "hate" or "dislike" anyone, and they are entitled to their views, just as much as I am.
Our kids and grandkids' futures are on the line here. We do have a right to critically scrutinize, and anaylze, those who put themselves up as qualified in all aspects for leadership, and to expect them to be "straight" with us, and not lie about their past, or "pull the wool" and chop and change their minds. As it's a democracy, I believe this is as much my right as yours and your fellow lfet-wingers. When we get to be Totalitarian, if ever, that's the time is forced to shut up, I believe.
Being very close to Black Saturday, I well know there are still decent people out there, so don't need a lecture on human kindness. They came in to help, not for a day, or a week. But years. There will always be a strong core of good people.
But in general urban culuture these days, materialism is God. and Shopping malls are the cathedrals. All out for themselves.
