The absoutely trouncing of the LNP should be an opportunity to rethink their approach and move back to being a sensible centre-right party, focussing on good economic policy, and not trying to fight the invisible boogyman and engage in pointless 'culture wars' that regular people just don't care about.
The OPEC decision will weigh on oil prices but politically this result is probably the best WDS could hope for. It was either going to a minority ALP government or a majority ALP government. In this case a majority ALP government will have more power to follow through in their policies and have less influence from other parties. Despite the utter nonsense in this thread the ALP knows and understands that gas in particular is a critical part of the continuing energy transition, and hopefully approvals and red tape doesn't hold things up much longer.
