Fordy - nothing is 'holding us back'. We do not need a licencing deal to progress 2591 at this stage, as we have all the cash we need. Management has also stated that they think licencing 2591 out (something they don't even need to be thinking about for a looong time) is a boring option.
Any 'licencing' deal is likely to be worth much more post positive Ph3 results regardless and I for one would want management to wait on these results before considering any such deal vs a takeover or M&A.
