I’m watching as I have an interest in distressed equities. Buying distressed equities at cents on the dollar can be hugely lucrative as some have pointed at FMG 2015/16 example recently. I’ve participated in a few highly distressed commodity plays the past 5 or so years - MLX RSG AMI MMI to name a few… hell I even played around with Peabody and a few of the US coal names like AMR in 2020/21. I’m currently involved with MIN which is highly distressed at the moment like CRN. So I’m an amateur investor/speculator in distressed equities and I’m trying to learn a few things about these situations and thus very interested in how events play out here. As you all know it can be huge returns or bust.. I just don’t like the situation here but you all have my respect for taking on the risk.
And the positive… met coal markets have got to be close to turning here given supply disruptions. Hopefully for your sake that happens before too much more damage to the equity here. Have a good weekend.
