We have seen the performance of the production circuit and the recovery rates were are seeing are some of the best. What I am still failing to see is a really strong approach to the mining operation side of the ledger. The old mining stopes are still a bit of a hassle, and after doing a fair bit of work in the background on mining efficiency, including the attachments, the configuration of the haul truck trays, the buckets they dig with, and by far the most expensive part of the pre-processing, the sorting, I think that there is still a large chunk of cost available to be cut. We heard at the AGM that we are still tackling difficult old ground. And to put out a R.O.M that is some 1.15 to 1.25% through what seems to be a concerted sorting effort, I'd really like to see what alternatives can be drawn to take us us to a higher grade input with less handling. I really think that with a contract miner in charge, and a production circuit specialist in control of ops, there is probably a solution there that could be considered. A short term pain, long term gain option.
That, along with some certainty around Canada's critical minerals direction, or investment is still my vote for key value adding possibilities.
And after reading Goldman's lithium future picks today... well im a little unconvinced they have got it right... this time...
