Trump firmly believes in tariffs so it is hard to see how there won't be any tariffs, he did mention before the meeting that he thinks 80% tariffs are correct, which is down from 145%. as you said, further progress on a deal will take a while. damage is already done, details out soon anyway.
saw a good comment somewhere that trump insiders could just be using this to trade, the volatility, to make some money
