Gas has to flow, NT government need it as per Power & Water Authority, PAWA. Channel Island Power station offtake contract, to keep the NT's lights on. Plus royalties for the Onshore gas go to the NT government. Federal government also want the gas to flow as they have also subscribed to the realities that's it's needed.
still will be interesting to know how Empire Energy are going to fare as well, as they also have an offtake agreement with NT PAWA
