Hi @Puzzled, thanks for the reply. I have looked at the FY and HY results per my earlier posts. I follow the company because I like the technology, but remain uncertain about the execution. The fact posters jump from "he says shorters think there's a funding gap" straight to "he hasn't even opened the financials" tells me that the point is still being missed. I will make it plainly: a company can make NPAT but still have negative cashflows for any number of reasons (for example, capitalizing development works). At the end of the day, in my view shorters will be looking at the announcements and deducing that the cash balance has fallen more than expected (in part due to growth not meeting the aspirations of senior management, as DW admitted on the call). They see a potential funding gap, in a company that is not growing as fast as it wants, and which has just exited its CEO.
They may turn out to be wrong. But that is the most logical explanation for why short positions are where they are, in my opinion. The fact that expressing such a hypothesis causes such angst for some can be left up to individual investors to ponder.
