Don't want to be party pooper, I also have SER stock and have been watching it since it was 2.3 cents. My interest started with the lithium hype. Through all the hype I started to research lithium batteries and found info about the components with rare earths and graphite being important.

    Since then I have found out about graphite in reactors, graphene, the cloncurry solar etc. In my findings I have come accross the following;

    - Graphene can be grown without the need for graphite
    - Graphene can also be extracted from graphite
    - Research in Korea has found that silicon nanotubes may be better than graphite in Lithium batteries
    - Research in the USA shows that molybdenum has better eletrical properties than graphene
    - USA is the largest producer or Molybdenum but produces very little graphite
    - Graphene can be used in ultra capacitors which could replace lithium batteries as they charge faster but don't yet hold the charge for as long as lithium batteries
    - Practical usage and production of graphene is some time away
    - Graphite is used as heat sinks in tablets which is why ipads operate without fans
    - China now produces poorer quality graphite so maybe the ability to influence the market has been reduced

    Regarding SER
    - Uley was assessed as about 4mt high grade flake in the past
    - The graphite zone that Uley exists in is 300+mt but Uley hasn't been assessed as more than 100
    - When SER was EBR a processing plant was under construction in Townsville to make it 100% purity but since 2008 there is no news
    - Mark M went on a sales trip through Asia but there were no takers
    - Mikkira Graphite had some stake in Uley but SER said this is void

From all this there are some missing pieces to the puzzle
    1. Why weren't Asian companies interested in SER?
    2. Where are the stakeholders of Mikkira Graphite and the legal papers that say they have absolutely no entitlement to Uley? Can SER afford to defend legal action?
    3. Will graphite not be out done by another material if the current powers that be don't have a control of that resource?
    4. Will graphene replace current materials and technologies in the near future when a massive industry has been set up around current technologies (lots of vested interests).

I guess only time will tell and until then I'll buy and sell with the see-saw called hype and caution. Above all in the near term there's just too much hype to hold this stock down for too long. I've seen lots of salivating stock wolves.
