Why would the Canova be a placebo effect, rather than the Interferon? If it is all about belief rather than action, surely the interferon would be an even better placebo?
Most patients come to me as a last resort. They've already been to the conventional quacks full of belief that they can be cured. Often they then try Reiki, or naturopaths, or acupuncture. They then look at the miniscule pilule I give them with disbelief, especially when I tell them it is the only thing they will take, and to come back in a fortnight. It's certainly got to be a superb placebo, and much better than the previous treeatments' placebo effect, to work under those conditions.
