I wonder, jb, would Twiggy subscribe to that theory? .....I suspect not, given Fortescue has just spent 2.8 billion on 360 ev Roadrunner haul trucks plus other mining equipment to be powered by massive renewable energy farms.
Your theory would appear to be dependent on what energy source is used to create the hydrogen in the first place.
I guess at least it's a first step......I wonder if we'll see a battle similar to the battle between ev Vs hydrogen cars a decade ago.....which ultimately was won by ev vehicles.
The greatest challenges that need to first be overcome for hydrogen widespread usage are production costs, storage and transportation/piping logistics.
It will be interesting to observe as technology exponentially evolves over the next decade.
