I hope so too. It's my biggest strategic fear - China starts taking out the Caldeira, AXL/VMM/MEI etc. I hope it never happens - no one country should control supply of important materials for human kind.
The problem is it's a juicy target and China wants to maintain their control of the market and the caldeira is the biggest risk to them, deposit wise, so I expect them to make moves unfortunately.
