I was the one who spoke to them at 'our' lolly stand
It was not two years before mets but 2 yrs till the DFS/FID stage. (Chinese whispers at play that turned that into Met work, though I could have been clearer)
This is not as bad as it sounds or that different from across the industry

Take WA1 for example and they have a very much easier job on the Met side*. WA1 are still drilling .
*single mineral, in % not PPM
Compare to other REE stocks CRI are not progressing any slower.

Note my Sentiment I still hold and may buy more.

Rare earths are far more complicated than your run of the mill base metals where there are standard solutions for various Ore Types and mixtures.

There is a lot of land to drill and test out.
There is the backlog at labs to contend with as REEs being the latest craze.
Each REE deposit basically requires a custom chemistry set developed and optimized.
Each REE deposit needs a mining plan that delivers a standard grade mix downstream

There is a need to derisk the project and to prove the chemistry is workable and to drill out the rest of the tenements
The more a project is derisked the more it is worth. CR's board owe it their share holders to extract the utmost value from our tenements and the best way they can is to derisk the project
We should also consider that a good manager will over estimate the time taken as opposed to over promise.

All in All No one should be particularly surprised at the time line.
It probably needs to be noted I bought CR and am not a holder from the original mob.
