made my day, with only a couple of words
that opened my grey memories banks above my ears
and bought a smile to my face

as I sit here and think back and further back
to all the things I've done and where I have been
and seen

and think
I am only lucky bugger

then I went looking back
and found an ideal photo
a photo of a place gone forever
like my past, a place that cannot come back
a place that was moved

this is my photo, taken in 1965 of Jindabyne
the old township
now under many metres of water
taken wile I worked for Snowy, Snowy Mountains Authority
