Those who are actually aware of Lynas's reported Dy and Tb reserves would be able to do some simple arithmetic and see that using todays SMM pricing it would total AU$27,213,350,000 or just round down to AU$27 Billion
Given that the majority of separation process has already taken place prior to this final stage. I am guessing that the final separation cost per kg would be minimal.
Now of course that would be assuming a virtually impossible 100% successful separation rate.
I have no idea as to what volume it is that Lynas have the ability to separate atm in Malaysia, but I know that if they need to scale up for more product, they with their successful learnt IP could do so very quickly and successfully.
Bottom line is that these two products (if there is the market demand) alone would contribute considerably to the balance sheet.
