And for example the latest data shows an increase of 840,000~ new shorts were added on the 14th of May. Our buyback purchased 23,000~ shares on the same day as a point of comparison. That isn't just rebalancing that's a massive proportional increase for a single day. We actually increased in share price that day and nearly pushed through a long term resistence line. Coincidence? Maybe....
The broker data is confusing because that's a huge increase of shorts and the numbers don't match up until you look at the cross trades.
