Hi MM
The one thing you have over looked in your analysis of market inertia when discussing Brainchip -v- Nvidia is the general proclivities of humans to serve self interest.
As a rule we tend to the belief that Doctors generally speaking care about their patients and only act in their best interests however over the decades we have seen pharmaceutical companies engaging with the medical profession in what would be decried and called corruption if it were taking place in any other occupation.
Things like all expenses paid overseas holidays to attend medical conferences and shared premises and staff are used to influence prescribing patterns.
In the USA a particular Supreme Court Justice frequently denies that the freebies he receives in six figure sums ever influence his decisions.
Even Australia’s flag carrier openly gives out special lounge passes to politicians and their families.
So it is not impossible to believe that brand loyalty to Nvidia for example is encouraged by providing little extras that newer players do not have the financial strength to offer.
Even just the fact that Nvidia, Qualcomm and others can afford the tens of thousands to reserve space in the main venue at CES each year buys an advantage.
This single act forces Brainchip, Prophesee and others into hotel suits well away from the main venue requiring their marketing and sales staff into walking the floor at the main venue like hookers trying to chat up likely customers, then spiking their drinks before kidnapping and spiriting them back to their hotel suite to demonstrate their technology.
This inability to be a fully paid participant then works against the smaller players when it comes to being judged and awards handed out even if they have the best technology because they were never entered in the race.
A level playing field it most certainly is not.
If you weigh this handicap against the success Brainchip has been having in cutting through in Defence, Aerospace, Drones, Traffic monitoring, Medical Wearables etc; it does not look so grim.
All Brainchip needs to do is hand out brand new passenger jets to a few World leaders and CEO’s of major companies and adoption of AKIDA technology would take off overnight.
Of course that would require a capital raise which shareholders would likely not be happy about.
