REM is on the hook to deliver the 500 million tonnes sold.
Not theorised, not planned — sold. That’s performance-based structure at its best. And let’s not forget, this limestone is the overburden sitting right on top of the manganese. It had to be moved anyway. Now it gets turned into hundreds of millions in profit.
Do the maths — even at $10 tonne and a conservative 20% margin, you’re looking at $1 billion in net profit. And Timor-Leste is next door to Indonesia — low freight costs, massive demand, it all lines up.
But sure, let’s mark it down. Meanwhile, junk announcements with no revenue and no plan rally like it's 1999. No logic. No patience. Just noise.
This deal is real. The tonnes are real. The profit is real. The market will wake up — just not today, apparently.
