On May 12, 2025 (May 13, 2025 in Australia), Christopher P. Meyering informed Coronado Global Resources Inc. (the “Company”) that he is resigning as Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of the Company, effective June 30, 2025 (the “Resignation Date”). Mr. Meyering will continue to serve as Vice President and Chief Legal Officer through the Resignation Date to help facilitate the transition.
On May 14, 2025 (May 15, 2025 in Australia), Mr. Meyering and the Company entered into a Consultancy Agreement (the “Agreement”), effective July 1, 2025 (the “Effective Date”), pursuant to which Mr. Meyering will advise the Board and certain members of management on various initiatives, programs and transactions for a period of six months from the Effective Date, unless earlier terminated in accordance with its terms. Pursuant to the Agreement, Mr. Meyering will be eligible to receive a retainer of $20,000 per month and, if his work exceeds 31 hours per month, an additional $650.00 per hour for his services. The Agreement contains customary non-disclosure and confidentiality provisions.

We are seeking an Associate General Counsel to join our high-performing Brisbane-based team. In this critical role, you’ll provide timely, strategic legal advice to support our Australian operations and commercial activities, enabling the business to meet its objectives while maintaining compliance and mitigating risk.
About the RoleReporting to the Chief Legal Officer you will play a key role in delivering high-quality legal services across all areas of the business. This includes advising on complex commercial arrangements, regulatory compliance, land access, procurement, and corporate transactions.
In this role, you will:
Provide expert legal support across our Australian mining operations, including tenure management, landholder matters, environment, health and safety compliance, and commercial disputes.Advise on a broad range of contracts and commercial arrangements, including supply agreements, mining services, offtake arrangements, port and rail logistics, and confidentiality agreements.Guide and support the Procurement team to ensure contractual alignment with Coronado’s commercial strategy and delegated authority framework.Lead or support legal negotiations for major projects and strategic initiatives.Oversee the operational compliance framework, including development and implementation of compliance processes and policies.Monitor emerging legal developments and ensure internal stakeholders are informed and prepared to respond.

You are a commercially minded and solutions-focused legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You bring strong technical capability, sound judgement, and the confidence to partner with senior stakeholders.Key Experience & Qualifications
Extensive experience post-admission experience with a valid unrestricted practising certificate.Background in corporate, energy and resources, projects or environmental/approvals law.Ideally trained in a top-tier firm with experience in an in-house legal team.Proven ability to manage complex legal matters and provide commercially pragmatic advice.Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.Why Join Us?
