Sounds a bit more humble and balanced from you, thank you for that.

There are multiple reasons why people still held or continue to hold, you've asked this question a long time so hopefully this settles it.

First, there was BMIs call for elevated lithium prices for the rest of the decade, which was the reason I didn't sell at first, in conjunction with Jerko saying "funding deal any minute now" yeah yeah... Hindsight we know.

Then we had BMI come out and say that there's no way that prices will stay suppressed for longer than 6 months as the Breakeven cost is so high and we still need more investment in the space for future supply. Then that suddenly wasn't a thing.

Then before we know it, we have Goldman and others saying that current lithium price is the bottom and it's only going to go up from here starting sometime this year.

Then next minute CITIBANK comes out with a report saying carbonate will fall even more to 7,000 a tonne.

AGY historical price has moreso than pure company fundamental been related to spot price. I personally think AGY is an utter mess right now, but when the next cycle comes it's price will lift alingside spot price regardless of company fundamental (as historically proven by us chartists), the plant will be re-engineered (as if he would be lying about that), then they're going to validate it, and we either sell the project from there or somehow get the funding. Either way theres going to be some dilution involved, but timing with the next lithium peak will see prices much higher than now. Do I think we will get to either of those outcomes, yes. Will it be messy from a time length perspective? Yes

That's why I focus on other investments, build my wealth in other assets, and when the tide turns I'll have more to add to lithium if and when I decide it's right.

You have to recognise the principle that before recognising that a stock is ready to be jumped back into, that decision doesn't come at the "low" it usually comes after a decent amount of gain and validation that the new trend is up. For instance if that happened from now. The average (re-enterer would only enter probably around 5c) which is 3 times less gains than those who were in from 1.7c.

This is a reason why some people don't sell now. Because according to whoever you listened to previously whether it's BMI, Goldman, Jerko, or Citi, that principle applied from 40c, 20c, 10c etc. gee weren't we wrong. But to have someone like you come and be high and mighty about it is honestly someone just coming to rub your face in the shit. You're not saying anything intelligent or novel or genius, it's just pulling the "hindsight card" which not a single person here appreciates, and just makes you look like a bit of a f*wit tbh.
