That's not surprising. When you pay somebody a salary that puts them probably in the top 0.1% of Australian salaries but there's a perception of bottom quintile performance, I can fully understand the irritation, must stick in your craw to know you and your fellow SHs are covering these generous salaries (the company CSO isn't shabbily paid either). It would be an interesting exercise to look at Australian biotech, most of which frankly is an ocean of mediocrity IMO, and correlate compensation largesse with actual performance.
If they have not started the p3 trial despite an alleged ethics approval in November, and in fact the corporate deck from this month confirms they expect recruitment to start "this quarter" so they obviously haven't started, this is IMO appallingly dilatory progress, somebody is not doing their job and in any performance-based company would have been shown the door. The fact this same corporate deck has nothing on the actual p3 study design, even a basic outline, is also poor. I'm staying well away from this one....
