The population is about 800 people based on what’s been announced. If we go by Utah’s voter turnout in the 2020 and 2024 elections, which was around 68 and 67 percent, it gives us a pretty good idea of how many people might actually care enough to think about signing a petition. I’ll round that up to 70 percent just to keep it simple. That means about one in five people who might be willing to sign have already done it. That’s a solid start, especially since we are still in the early stages and don’t have much momentum yet.
