Here’s a fun fact about substantial holders. I’ve been a bit fixated on the significance of the BVF exit. But the reality is they don’t always get it right.
As a recent and relevant example….Lanstead Capital put $10.5m into Neuren (NEU) in mid-2017. They seem to have “lost confidence in management” by the end of 2018 and sold out at a loss for $6m. Sounds familiar. Then just 5 years later if they just sat tight with their investment it would have been worth over $100m.
Looking forward to seeing BVF join that club soon enough.
