May be obvious to many, but it took me a bit of time and a bit of researching basic definitions to realise the significance of this.
- The wording suggests that the delay was at the request of BOTH parties, in agreeance with each other (ie. not at the request of ICSID).
- The new date of proceedings is the Monday after the week beginning 15 June, which is the week that the peace agreement is expected to be signed in Washington.
Seems unlikely that this date is coincidental to the expected peace signing. Surely this all points to the parties now expecting to reach a resolution before this date.
