From what you say, you and peers decide the time is right to buy based on signals / data. You made no indication that you are buying to pump and dump.
Where it would become hazy is if you employed a concurrent social media campaign that included falsehoods to improve your group's position.
As you did not make any mention of an exit strategy based on impacts from the upward pressure of your collective group, I don't see the issue.
In short what you have described is not market manipulation.
I think you know the answer because you are posing it publicly and claiming that is what you do. Were you perhaps trying to draw a comparison to Hedge Funds acting in concert?
