I personally find the Baha'i writings to be profound and deeply insightful and if something grates on one of my standing points of view, or indeed one of my prejudices, I don't fight against it, I let it alone to see if via more reading an understanding arises. Often it does.
Take the Baha'i Principles and analyse them, they would have to be the best set of remedies for this age that I have ever come across and have a read into the many volumes of information behind each principle and then see if you ever ask that question again.
