Podcast #2309 of the Joe Rogan Experience on April 22 featured two participants without qualifications in climate science talking about climate science., host Rogan himself of course and former University psychology professor and Champion of Incels Jordan Peterson.
you can imagine the dog's breakfast it was: a mine of misinformation and pseudoscience BS by two of the darlings of hard right conservatives
Rogan's podcasts are among the most popular in the world, and #2309 has proved to be no different.
Audiences of more than 4 million on YouTube and elsewhere, and almost a million on X twitter, according to Science Feedback . Org said in a statement Friday.
but like this thread on HC, which has turned out to be little more than an unhinged exercise in iteration of pseudoscience by the Muppets of Denial, who attack climate science and learned knowledge at every turn, #2309 was riddled with climate denier BS.
Science Feedback, which can access the world's experts in any field,, took it upon themselves to critique #2309 and address some of the BS claims, debunking where appropriate.
it addressed four claims in particular., , the first appears below. The others will appear on this thread in coming days.
I must warn Muppets of Denial that reading this material below could expose you to learning about climate science, which could grate with your chosen stance of ignorance. I don't imagine many muppets will read Science Feedbank.
this HC thread is testament to climate denier's choice to avoid knowledge and merely assert their misinformed opinions.
SCIENCE FEEDBACK

"The geological record tells us that the last time Earth had temperatures 3°C (5.4°F) higher than pre-industrial levels was about 3 million years ago, during what scientists call the Pliocene epoch[5].
"During the Pliocene, sea levels were about 17 meters (56 feet) higher than pre-industrial levels[6].
" Today, hundreds of millions of people live on seaboards less than 17 meters above sea level, in land that was underwater during the Pliocene.
"We don’t need to wait for sea levels to rise 56 feet to see what such drastic climate change will do – a warmer world increases the risks from floods, natural disasters, extreme heat, drought, tropical diseases, and more, counteracting our efforts to make humans safer from these[3]."
