CHINA WILL BE VERY MUCH SHORT IN LITHIUM, page-49

I was quite busy in the past few days and have not followed posts here.

But I read some articles which have given me some ideas about why Li prices are so heavily shorted in China - One Lithium Carbonate producer who imports lithium from overseas of China and sells lithium carbonates in China said, in year 2024, he made 2.79million Chinese yuan on shorting lithium prices while he lost 0.76M on selling lithium carbonate products. I think his behaviour is not alone. Many carbonate producers are doing the same - shorting the Li prices as they have been encouraged by market brokers. These have made a total effect of li prices going down like a sinking boat in China. Though one cannot deny that this is also a market result. Even if ICE to list lithium prices in June this year, chances are, shorters will do the same in the ICE.

There was one published research report saying, April EV sales increased by 40% YoY for the Chinese EV makers, which is huge, and Li stocks at the end of 2025 is predicted to be 0.3T in China. But this is the only one voice saying Li prices should not be so low... it soon have been overwhelmed by other voices that were saying supply is still too strong and demands are too low... so, whatever you choose to believe...

I hold LTR and I am not selling it until I make a good profit. That is all I know.
