Funky,
I too read that link the other day ( all 188 pages ) and am now fascinated to learn more.
I actually back tested so to speak some of the examples on some of the stocks I own and was particularly fascinated by the springboard testing and gap up scenarios which have played out quite nicely on stocks such as DML,LNC and QBE.
QBE recently announced another acquisition which didnt seem that exciting to me however the market pushed it up over $1 ps in one day, it held and has moved higher since.
LNC on Friday got tested down from about $2.88 to $2.78 (rough) and the volume just wasnt there, the holders were holding firm, the volume stayed low and it ended up closing up on the day - should be interesting next week.
As it states there is no market without the professional money ( call it what you like ) but that is what "controls" the market and you can play with them or against them. Everyone has different objectives, needs, wants and desires, tax considerations, time constraints and so on. For mine I have always been more of a buy and hold investor rather than a trader but am opening my mind to different approaches.
Funky - if possible could I discuss (more like pick your brain) VSA in more detail via email as I am intigued to know more.
Cheers
Hallie
