Tax returns are a little simpler with LICs than ETFs You can also look inside the holdings to balance out individual stock selection (e.g. I haven't owned any bank stocks for years, except for Macquarie, but I've had exposure via AUI).
But I'm not a fan of AFI either. Given the very modest portfolio turnover I can't fathom what all of their staff are actually doing. Let alone the rest of their stable.
