Thanks very much that helps a fair bit, what about if a couple of parcels were bought is it average share price? or what you bought first, or..? for example buying 500 shares @ $1 buying another 500 @ $2 then selling 500 for $3 before holding for 1 year. Again I appreciate all this help! is there any other completely obvious tax rules I should consider when trading?
