We all have our own views on where this might end up but Healthscope's difficulties have been known to a degree for quite some time and even acknowledged by HCW management.
Even without the benefit of hindsight, it appears to be another case of a company's management burning cash on an ill-timed buyback on a sinking share price.
I'm modestly underwater but foundation investors have been slaughtered. Hardly a ringing endorsement for anyone considering participation in future HMC vehicles. Moreso if HCW takes any sort of sizeable haircut as part of this process.
