Tim Flannery had some very interesting things to say.

It is one of my over riding investment strategies to try and picture what the world will be like in 5, 10, 20 years and then make a call on that. Listening to people like this with an eye on the research that is going on around the world is invaluable to an investor.

In 10 years, if electric cars are the norm there would be a need for a massive increase in electricity generation. The carbon tax would necessitate clean energy generation. The DC line from East to West in Australia would allow power projects in central Australia to access the coastal power markets. Now, what kinds of power generation can you do in the desert???
