re: jebigabre charts Had a very interesting chat with my broker yesterday discussing MCR's rise...yeah the announcement was timely and looks like an excellent extension of resource, but he also said their view was the 2nd tier mkt, with MCR in particular had been on ignore for some time, and now with the majors having had their run, it represented the "value proposition" that instos are scrounging the market for.
Also went on to say that with:
Norilsk Nickel cutting back production/capacity due to environmental concerns
A decline in LME stock levels due to 2004 being the year of de-stocking for Nickel clients who overbought
Voisey Bay still a long way off
Bottom tier/mid tier consolidation...a good time to get into profitable producers with good mine life and cash on hand, hence some interest in MCR and ors.
