No argument with the $25 per 100 days made.
On day 100 for whatever reason they have to quickly cover the $10 risked at $30.00 which leaves them ahead $5 if we ignore borrowing costs.
However, if they had to cover the risked $10.00 at $100.00 on day 100, they are out of pocket $90 - $25 or $65.00 which is a lot different to your claimed $9.00
You write well so I assume I am in the wrong for some reason at this point.
