As such the symbolism made perfect sense to me and was very much in context. So out of respect for the Bible which I believe is divinely inspired, and seeking to make sense out of OT and NT passages with those sentiments listed that had been repeated across differing time periods it seemed to me that an important point was being raised and one that was worth looking into. Now you might then ask, why did the Bible scribes and teachers not just say straight out that the leaders of religion eventually corrupt religion. I imagine to do so would have been an immediate death sentence to the writers and the believers, so it was written symbolically in the hope that those drawing nearer to Moses and then Christ across the ages might gain enough insight to extract the symbolic meaning.

Thankyou for that reply wafflehead. I was wondering how you come to the conclusions you do. Now i know, you go to someone who is outside the bible,to decifer what is in the bible. Insisting everything is always symbolic just like the gnostics of Pauls day did.
