By reading about what the Baha'i Faith writings had to say in response to such symbolism and specifically those passages. Clearly it wasn't literal so I went into their site to read what their Prophet had to say about, if in fact He had said anything and He had. As such the symbolism made perfect sense to me and was very much in context.
