This topic has wandered deep into the technical side, but I don't see much discussion on what seems key within the announcement
Chubu Electric and Chiyoda have now successfully completed the pre-feasibility study (“PFS” and the project has advanced with the identification of a preferred site location, initial design and engineering activities, and satisfied themselves the technology is cost-competitive and delivers favourable project economics.
This even further validation that HAZER is in line to be the preferred methane pyrolysis for the hydrogen   demand
Japan has a goal to be a hydrogen economy, and has a large LNG supply chain already established, which can be converted into hydrogen for local demand
