As a poster said above, it should apply to the USA, not Oz.
The good old USA is heading for a fiscal cliff. It will lose its power and influence when its bonds sales fail to get traction. That is what some high level money USA people are suggesting.
It will accelerate towards the cliff too if the Big Beautiful Bill gets through as is, with Section 899 still in it. It enables certain foreigners' investments in the USA to be the subject of extra taxes. That Section's presence is likely to see foreign investments pulled out, thus making the situation worse.
The country (USA) is truly being run by morons, and immoral ones too.
