Not a totally silly idea mate. Thinking of options is important when investing.
But the reason why I don't think it would happen is the global fight for control of minerals. CBMM is controlled by Chinese who have stated they wont export any critical minerals to the US in the recent tarriff wars. Chinese control and the USA having a hitlist of critical minerals they want to target with Niobium number 2 has me thinking European, the US and Aus governments would step in before that could happen. Its a real fight, but it is also a HUUUUUGE bonus for this discovery for private and government parties having interest.

We have a huge find and very high grade. Niobium is scarce. Governments want control. We tick so many boxes. Why does an asset appreciate?
    - scarcity (tick) having only one true competitor and that competitor being on the other side of the ledger.
    - advances in technology and increasing uses for this mineral. They are not just uses such as tyres for a car or something mundane. The uses are actually fitting the worlds issues. It addresses future fields like space travel, medical uses, making steel lighter, stronger and cheaper, battery technology. See they are all areas at the forefront of human development and very in vogue.
    - competition - well this will be a 2 horse race...........hasn't gone too bad for woolies and coles.
    - Grade and size of the find. Having stupid high grade can win competitive market share, and of course the fact this thing will have only half out of the ground by the time most of us die. So a generational find and volume.

The battle for control in this space makes me think it will be taken over. This is a unicorn and solves instantly number 2 of the critical mineral list. The games being played this whole time to me is such a green flag. (opposite of red flag). For someone or some entity to put the effort into this since it did the $17 cap raise means its definitely on the radar. Now the games may not even have anything to do with profit. They may be losing and losing just to keep the range wee were in constantly. Its flattering and yes it scared lots of retail. But the reason behind it is what you have to keep reminding yourself of.

We are in the endgame now. I think once it is derisked enough this will be eaten up. The world climate supports this. I think slowly we have all increased the possibility of a takeover. It might be the only way to secure this commodity for the west.

Exciting times people. keep the faith.
