interesting how things change (short interest) when a stock is added to ASX 300 of 200.

Lets look at the whole picture.

4. CR to sure up balance sheet adding 7% dilution

5. April 2. Trumps Liberation Day/Doubling down on Tariff talk.

6. May 12- BOT recovers to 46c before Trump announces his Most favoured nation day executive order.

7. June 4- Manishiv speculates that aggressive aggregate selling by Big $$$ funds is a concern. Note. That pressure has been a gradual 3month drawdown, not helped by the above steady flow of events. Not to mention right at the time that falls 35-45 days before the next expected report.

So it’s not unfeasible to say, a funds/institutions’ playbook is being executed as a risk mitigation strategy at the most appropriate time. It is definitely the same funds that will add aggressively on positive reports/announcements.

If earnings are good, this can reverse quickly and fit a sustained period. A good example is the gold sector. See below in next post with GMD
