The oxide and transitional might only represent a small proportion of the overall MRE (2% and 14% respectively), but in terms of gold ounces, it is still 29,000 Oz (Fresh) and 212,000 Oz (Transitional). So, the uplift in recoveries from the previous PEA figure of 75% to the 86% today is quite significant, especially as it comes without the need for additional comminution or reagent usage to achieve the increase. Furthermore, it applies to arguably the most important/critical ounces...…start-up ounces.
“...do we have to build a whole nother bloody plant to process the 84%?” No, we are still sitting on an average of ~78% recovery for the fresh ore component…again, this is at the same size fraction (P100 @ 8mm) and low cyanide rates.
