rod63, well said. Our friends and allies in NZ are suffering great loss today. People have died and destruction is widespread. Buildings have collapsed including a church in central Christchurch. I have no doubt that affluent Australia will help NZ, notwithstanding our own tragedies in Queensland and elsewhere. We are nation blessed with the goodwill and good hearts of our people.
I just heard a NZ spokesperson say that Australia has already responded with offers to help in the rescue efforts in Christchurch.
