Dr. Lee was cautious to discuss only information already disclosed on the ASX or in the public domain. I had the opportunity to meet the team and observe the entire battery cell testing process firsthand. I held a sample battery compared to a drone battery, and the weight difference was remarkable—our battery was significantly lighter, which IMO is a game changer. The complexity of battery production and the rigorous testing protocols were eye-opening. The site’s facilities, including advanced instrumentation, dry room, and cutting-edge machinery, were truly impressive and showcased state-of-the-art technology.
I did share my concern around competition and the need to get unconditional deals soon than later. Dr Lee sounded confident in LIS being a leader in this space acknowledged competition but believes Lis are at the forefront.
My understanding from our conversation was that going to airshows in Avalon, US and up coming Paris airshow was a strategic move and a path for credibility.
