It's a simple fact pal. Only surrender deniers could claim otherwise. I say that to anyone especially military types. Real soldiers aren't truth deniers like you.
They meekly surrendered to a much smaller force. Stood to attention at the side of the road as the Jap commander drove into Singapore. Then they got treated like surrender monkeys, as you would expect.
Commanders had no guts. Too much colonial luxury.
At least the French were defeated by a far superior force. At least Singapore is simply not mentioned, unlike Gallippolli which is made out to be a glorious achievement. Whereas it was a quagmire like Iraq, with hundreds of thousands lost and ships sunk daily by mines and submarines.
