Albo has been looking into our Bio laws regarding US beef imports to see if they are a bit over the top and if theres any room for sensible movement without risking our food safety before Albo meets with Trump.

And Albo's officials believe that some limited regulatory changes could be made without compromising Oz food safety..
"The federal government is considering granting more American beef producers access to the local market as Anthony Albanese seeks to strike a tariff deal in a potential meeting with US president Donald Trump"

Littleproud says beef from Mexico and Canada poses potential risks to our industry and wants no changes.

I'd like to know what he thinks these potential risks are that would be big enough risks and real risks to warrant not importing US beef when people over there eat it everyday all year long and don't grow two heads or get their beef industry wiped out because of the risks he says he's worried about and isn't there potential risks with everything that comes into Australia?

Anyway, Albo being more constructive than i thought he'd be with this, putting in an effort to try and find areas of negotiation wiggle room with the US is a good thing imo. The US just wants fairer trade thats all.
