So ... for those of us who are interested in factors which may affect the POG and therefore affect the value of their NST holdings ...
The most important latest development is the breakout in the silver price above $35US last night.
It traded above $36US, and is back above $36US as I write.
The silver chart shows a 44-year cup and handle, with a cup and handle in the handle!
And it may be breaking out of this right now.
(I'll try not to mention that it, along with gold, has been suppressed for 50 years so as to confuse citizens into believing there is no currency alternative to the USD, and that as a result of the massive suppression, the upside move may be spectacular.)
When gold broke out of its 13 year cup and handle it added 75%, moving from 200USD to 3500USD in very quick time.
The belief among the most intelligent forecasters I know of is that ... silver breaking out acts to fully confirm the precious metals bull ...
And with silver joining in the bull market ... Gold miners should also start to join and move substantially higher.
Couple this with what looks like approaching Armageddon in the long term treasuries and Japanese bond markets ...
The upside potential for gold and miners seems very substantial.
