just don’t allow them to control IP or critical processing methodologies/design aspects not held under current IP protections
avoid third party critical design unless genuine bespoke for a particular project under a particular license agreement
otherwise you’ll have the same issue as LPD where a large licensee absorbs the IP due to parent having insufficient funds
