@goldfan I think there's more uncertainty than ever about LCL getting more than the initial AUD $1m. As stated the difference between the Visby bid and Tiger, is Visby's money was the sure thing - upfront. Did you read how Presidential nominee Uribe was just shot in Colombia on Friday? He was one of the best hopes for returning Colombia back to a pro-business/mining country. It's dire, and the leftist regime is working hard to stay in power. The next election is in August 2026.
What does this mean? It means Colombia or anyone raising money for the country over the next 14 months will face significant headwinds and people will generally wait until this issue is cleared before investing, I would. There's that coupled with because nil foreign investment has gone into the country, it's likely to be downgraded to junk status also over the next 6 months or so ... also making fundraising more challenging .... As stated before, by voting Yes on the Tiger vote - you were betting on them raising the funds - they dont have it, and have a challenging few months ahead... therefore, there are no guarantees for LCL in the future.
