There is perception with the community that the egg donor is the architect, the woman carrying the baby is the builder, together they share a bond bringing the couple together. The result is not what was desired, it's a loss of trust in their procedures, with real consequences to people's lives. There are many alternative companies, virtus, genea, adora, with no known issues and just as good doctors, prices and labs. Many patients would select those over Monash. It's also not unusual for doctors to switch clinics for various reasons, this might tip them over the line.
